YOSEKI - Coding Dojo by Kleer

Yoseki is a free Coding Dojo organized by Kleer.

What is a Coding Dojo?

It is a meeting where a group of developers works on a programming challenge. The idea is to have fun and participate in a practice in order to improve our skills.

The Dojo is the Japanese traditional place for teaching and improvement in the martial arts and meditation. Yoseki is where the most advanced students are located and the point where all participants want to reach on their learning journey.

The Coding Dojo initiative is spreading rapidly in many cities worldwide. Its philosophy is about learning, learning and more learning.

Why?

Because the best way to improve ourselves is through sustained practice. For the same reason, the musicians rehearse to improve their technique over and over again. Reading books can help putting our ideas in order, but only walking the experience will enable us to master any technique.

The same applies to software development, as Ron Jeffries says in his article: “What makes people change is what they do, not what they read. How many diet books I read? Am I thinner? How many books of self-organization? I can not even find them all.
